- with a focus on intelligent actuators, embedded systems and electronic product development

Would you like to combine electronics, embedded systems and hands-on product development while contributing to more intelligent and energy-efficient buildings?

This is your opportunity to join FlowCon, where we develop, manufacture and sell innovative flow-control solutions for the global HVAC industry. As our new Mechatronics Engineer, you will play an important role in developing future actuator platforms, electronic products and intelligent control systems.

The Job

You will become part of our R&D department and work closely with colleagues specialising in electronics, software, mechanics and manufacturing. Together, you will transform technical requirements and innovative ideas into intelligent, reliable and user-friendly products for the global HVAC market.

You will work with the design, development, testing and optimisation of electronic products and intelligent actuators, taking solutions from initial concept and prototype through verification and into serial production.

You will be based at our headquarters in Slagelse, close to the E20 motorway, exit 39. The position offers a varied combination of development work, analytical problem-solving, laboratory testing, technical documentation and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Your primary responsibilities:

You will have a varied role as part of the R&D team:

  • Design and develop electronic hardware and embedded systems for intelligent actuators and control products.
  • Contribute to system architecture, electronics design, prototyping and verification.
  • Work with communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus and other BUS technologies.
  • Support testing, troubleshooting and optimisation of hardware and firmware solutions.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on PCB development, component selection, manufacturing and product industrialisation.
  • Contribute to certification, compliance and reliability activities for electronic products.
  • Participate in cross-functional development projects from idea generation to market launch.
  • Help improve existing products and contribute to the development of future product platforms.

Who are you?

You have a relevant technical degree within Mechatronics Engineering, Embedded Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field. You enjoy combining hands-on development with analytical problem-solving and are motivated by turning complex technical requirements into reliable and user-friendly products.

You do not necessarily need to match every requirement from your first day. Most importantly, you are technically curious, motivated to learn and ready to take responsibility for your assignments.

We would particularly value experience with:

  • Electronic product development and embedded systems.
  • PCB design, component selection and hardware verification.
  • Microcontrollers and embedded firmware development.
  • Communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet or similar technologies.
  • Actuator technology, motor control, sensors and feedback systems.
  • Hardware debugging and laboratory testing.
  • EMC, product safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Product-development processes from initial concept to production release.
  • SolidWorks or other CAD tools.

We also value that you:

  • approach technical challenges in a structured and analytical manner.
  • take initiative and follow your assignments through to completion.
  • enjoy combining independent responsibility with close teamwork.
  • communicate clearly with colleagues and external partners.
  • are comfortable working in an international environment.
  • communicate fluently in English.

We offer

You will become part of a professional and informal working environment where we value collaboration, technical curiosity and engagement. You can look forward to an exciting position in a global company with opportunities for both professional and personal development. You will receive a thorough onboarding to our products and processes with support from experienced colleagues. We value flexibility in everyday working life and offer salary according to qualifications, a pension scheme and health insurance.
